Maintaining my heat pump

Your DURAHEAT heat pump is as good as maintenance-free. In order to guarantee the proper functioning of your heat pump, we have listed a few useful tips.

Make sure that the plants around your heat pump are well pruned and free of leaves. This allows the airflow to circulate optimally.

Your DURAHEAT heat pump is fitted with a small pipe that drains the condensed water to avoid water-puddles. Check occasionally that other objects do not obstruct the drainpipe.

If the evaporator (the air intake grill on the side or at the back of your heat pump) is dirty, it can be cleaned very easily. Dust particles and leaves that have crept between the slats of your evaporator can easily be removed with a vacuum cleaner.

TIP: backwash regularly through your filter pump for optimum water flow.

Finally, before hibernating, drain the water from your heat pump and cover it with the matching cover. If in doubt, your installer is always at your disposal should you have any additional questions.
